O Bistro

Had a lovely lunch the other day at O Bistro and I was thrilled to see that my lunch entrée is featured on O’s Dine Around menu.  Dine Around & Stay in Town Victoria runs until March 7, 2010.  I love this time of year when so many local restaurants offer three-course menus for such great value.  O Bistro’s three-course dinner menu is an impressive $20 with a starter of Lemon Chicken Broth with BBQ chicken wanton and vermicelli noodles.  There is a choice of two entrées: Braised Bison Short Ribs or the Puy Lentil Cassoulet which I had for lunch.  I think I need to return to have the Cassoulet again and to savour the Lemon Pot de Crème for dessert.  There are some very nice British Columbia wine pairings suggested; Red Rooster Pinot Blanc, Peller Estates Private Reserve Merlot, and the Calona Vineyards Gewurztraminer with dessert.  The lobby bistro is a very cool place to hang out and enjoy a meal.  If you dine on a Wednesday evening, you’ll catch O’s “Jazz it Up”.  Local musician are performing from 6pm.  I’ll be back on Wednesday!
